Introduction:
The Wedge prism has a shallow angle between the front and back surfaces. Refraction at the surfaces causes the prism to deviate laser by a set angle. The light steering ability of each Wedge prism can be coupled with one another to achieve exponential light steering effects, with minimal power loss with the addition of AR coating of the Wedge prism surfaces.

Wedge prisms can also be used for education purposes. When viewing a scene through such a prism, objects will appear to be offset by an amount that varies with their distance from the prism.
